What happens during a MOXI appointment?

Pre-treatment prep (15–20 min)
Skin is thoroughly cleansed. Topical numbing is optional, many patients skip it for MOXI as the treatment is well-tolerated without it. A cooling fan or chilled tip provides additional comfort during treatment.

Laser treatment (20–30 min)
The MOXI handpiece is passed across the skin in multiple sweeps, delivering 1927nm energy in a fractional pattern. Patients feel warmth and mild prickling. Intensity can be adjusted in real time. The treatment feels more comfortable than HALO and significantly less intense than CO2 resurfacing.

Immediate post (10 min)
Skin will appear pink/red for 1–2 hours after treatment. A gentle serum and mineral SPF are applied before you leave. You can return to work and most activities the same day, though skin may feel sensitive.

Days 2–4: MENDS shed (at home)
Within 24–48 hours, small bronzed "coffee ground" particles (MENDS) appear on the skin surface. Do not pick or wash aggressively, these naturally slough off by day 3–4. On day 4–5 skin looks refreshed and clearer. Follow-up for your next session is scheduled 4–6 weeks out.
