HAVE A QUESTION? WE HAVE ANSWERS.

Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal procedure designed to not only remove unwanted hair but also to stop it from growing back. Electrolysis disrupts hair growth. It works by inserting a fine probe into the natural opening of the hair follicle and emitting direct current in hair follicles causing the destruction of the hair production area.  Essentially, electrolysis damages the target hair follicles to prevent growth and causes existing hairs to fall out.

You may experience a temporary redness or tenderness in the treated area immediately following the treatment, which varies with each individual. We use the latest electrolysis technology which is more comfortable and effective than ever before. Our licensed electrologists will provide you with post treatment and will be available to address and concern you may have post treatment.

Electrolysis is safe to use on any part of the body except the inner ear and nose. Areas we treat with Electrolysis here at Florida Aesthetics and Wellness include, face, eyebrows, abdomen, underarms, arms, thighs, breasts, legs and the bikini / groin area.

Many factors influence hair growth and you may need to schedule several electrolysis visits to ensure optimum results. The frequency and length of your treatment will vary depending on the size of the target area and where you are in your treatment process. The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently from a particular area will vary from person to person. Most patients schedule visits once a week or every other week. The good news is that the unwanted hair will be gone forever once the recommended series of treatments is complete.

Usually, the early sessions of the treatments are the longest and most frequent. Treatment length and frequency then tapers off as fewer and fewer hairs remain to be treated. You may need five minutes for a few annoying hairs on your lip or you might need an hour for larger areas like legs or chest.

Our licensed electrologist will guide you throughout the process and recommend best results.

For most people, our state-of-the-art electrolysis machine does not cause a lot of pain, but some patients do feel some discomfort and a little pain.

At first, the hair in the target area will grow back weaker and less coarse at first. However, hair will not grow back at all after the full treatment sessions are complete.
